Here are a few simple guidelines for submitting your work to ArabComent:
First things first: We do not toe any particular ideological line. Whether you are conservative or liberal, or neither, or in-between, really doesn’t matter to us.
Having said that, we don’t like neo-Nazis. Or terrorists. We strive to publish a variety of opinions on this site, but we do have a strong view as to what is and isn’t acceptable discourse. If you familiarize yourself with our magazine, you will probably have a good idea of whether or not your work is right for us.
You do not have to be an Arab to write for us. If your article or essay has some relevance to the Arab world, that would certainly help. If you are, say, writing about Islamic law in Malaysia, we’d certainly love to take a look. Islam interests us. Human rights interest us. Interesting things interest us.
Please include a brief bio in the body of your e-mail to us.
For many of our writers, English is a second language. We hope this will only serve to encourage you…
… Although, please remember that spell-check is your friend.
If you’re going to do simultaneous pitches or submissions, please inform us beforehand.
If you’re still with us, go ahead and e-mail us. Please include the word “submission” in the subject of your e-mail. All submissions should be addressed here.
